Statement

I am the co-founder of hydra-arts, an artist led initiative aimed at making the visual arts accesible to all. I am working with a number of schools on various projects that address my key areas of research - drawing, art, education and the hidden curriculum - and what effects this has on childhood and childhood culture.

Experience

I graduated in 1995 in Design and illustration, and recently (2008) completed my Masters Degree in Illustration. Primarily concerned with arts education and childhood, I completed the Certificate in Education in 2001, and have been working within the arts and education for over ten years. I have experience working within a number of settings, with Foyer residents, Parkinson's Disease Society, Arts for Health, Sure Start centers, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the homeless as well as various colleges and the University of Central Lancashire.
